Interesting pricing - whose ASPs are what?

If 700 HZ systems are priced, as similarly as possible from Dell and Gateway

64 meg SDRAM
Base 17" monitr
TNT2 /32
20 gig/7200 RPM drive
No Internet access package
MS Works only
minimum sound card and speakers
DVD Rom

700 Athlon=Gateway, 700 PIII=Dell

The Dell is $1,571 and the Gateway is $1,619

Does anyone care to estimate what Intel has actually had to cut its prices to in order to sell 700MHZ parts?

My guess is no more than $250 - $275.
