Steve,

Short interest can be found at: viwes.com

The short interest is quite high due to hedging of the convertible preferred stock sold back in April 1999, as well as the arbitrage play between WSTL and TLTN. Darn near impossible for individual investors to borrow WSTL shares for shorting for the past two months.

Keep in mind the latest short interest report is as of mid-January. The next report, due on the 28th, will cover up to February 10th.

Gary

I wouldn't worry about it much, short interest figures are due soon for this month.

But its old data, I don't know of any "snapshot" like the OI can give for the options.

And May is hotly hedged at 20, 25, 30 strikes.
