Gene:

I'm on the dead flat run for the next few days, but I owe the thread an update on DRam prices from my best source (promised a few days ago, but just got caught up)

- 64s are available for UNDER $5 if for immediate delivery and in quantity. His words were "bring your truck".

- back in December, I noted the huge inventories at the box builders and commented "who will the semi producers sell to in the first half of 2000?" Turns out to be deadly accurate as there is a ton of inventory BOTH within the box builders' warehouses as well as at the memory producers' shops. Tarps are in demand. (g)

It is looking nasty to say the least. We will see prices well below last year's lows soon.

Incidentally, PH has been accurate for a long while now and he posted this info to the MU thread before any of us. A tip of the Earlie hockey helmet to him for this.

Best, Earlie

Thanks for the heads-up, Gene. I guess IM's quarter is also calling "awesome demand" into question.
