Dear friends,

My 34 year old brother had a stroke Saturday morning about 2:00 am. He had survived two kidney transplants, an irreplaceable heart valve since age 11 that is now past its useful life, several major surgeries and other problems. By Saturday night both sides of his brain and spinal cord were no longer functioning. Sunday morning he was being taken to dialysis and had a massive heart attack and died.

He passed on to a painless world - something he has never known. In the dark silence of his death he found a peace he did not know in life. I shall mourn his passing and celebrate the life he shared with us. And perhaps knowing that he is somewhere better, and holding my family close, I will find my own peace.

I wont be in Texas this week. Denise and I are going to Milwaukee on Monday and should be back by Friday. Thanks for allowing me to share this here.
