That would be a gain in market cap of 400 billion dollars. Could you come up with news that would let that happen? I think anyone could come up with the news that would make that happen. Something along the lines of Microsoft having not, after all, violated anti-trust law combined with "US govmint adopts Windows2000 as official OS for all federal agencies". The latter won't of course happen, but just some great news along the lines of the case could send MSFT sharply higher; it's not like profits have joined the stock price in stagnating (relatively) the past many months.
