I have a feeling this is one of those strange things that happen on options expiration day. Today is definitely not a day to put complete faith in what you see on the quote screen.

One thing to note is that there were no Feb 70 options, so there wasn't any options-related support (nor will there be resistance) there.

any COMS long needs to remind him or herself that volatility is going to be the name of the game. we're so used to seeing this stock move 3/16 in one day, it's hard to adjust. and i believe that, although it's human nature to want explanations for everything, a lot of the time there are none. i say that the greater vision here is that COMS goes much higher prior to ipo. the fact that it's dropping a few points now just means that the shares can be had cheaper and the inevitable run up will be accelerated.

that said, i did just hear a fund guy on CNBC say he owned 3com and was "looking to lighten up" as they drew closer to the ipo.
