>>The next move, IMO, is a metro DWDM company.<<

Agreed. But with most being private, it seems there may not be a way for the individual investor to play this angle. (Well, there is FIBR, but I suspect Cisco might stay away from them, but I could be wrong.) Perhaps there is a public firm that is a large supplier to the up and coming private metro firms? One whose products are not as widely used across the whole spectrum? (pun unintended)
Any ideas?

Perhaps I should have added a <GGG>.

OT Peppe:

Dear Peppe,

I took Bill's posting as a play on URLs, so to speak. He basically split-up my tongue-in-cheek comment to that person who has never posted to this thread but dropped-by for suggestions from people who closely follow CSCO rather than take the time to either read the thread or do his own research. I told that guy "Williams-Sonoma" [because of the way CSCO's MarketPlace looks] and Bill took out the '-,' substituting 'and' then provided URLs for both companies. I though Bill was clever!

Regards,

Lynn

P.S. If you are reading this, Bill, I intentionally did not reply to your posting in case that guy who asked for take-out suggestions read your posting. Should he have taken it seriously, he deserved to go on a wild goose chase after "williams" and "Sonoma."
