It's beautiful. The light reflecting of the waving clustered strands --- a natural rainbow as a sun sets over Mount Haleakala, and a myriad tiny images of the sun dance on the clipped ends sending spectral waves across the valley. And to know that soon each tiny strand, thinner than a hair, will be carrying billions of messages, of hope, of love, of impending wealth, from person to person across this wonderful globe of ours. They dance with joy as if they were eager to be about their future tasks of communication. No longer will they enjoy life in the sun, but will be buried along some natural gas right of way or be plunging deep in dark oceanic depths.
