lof....re: "tern"

perception....hot company, hot sector, keeps on going up

reality.... small company, 100m sales, 56% closely held...no profit. technically a parabola? jumping on no substantial fundamental news, just a recommendation?

bet on the future? take over candidate?

at this point too pricey for me....i prefer companies with fundamentals and larger float....i prefer to buy shares of brcm, glw or 200 intc for what it costs to buy 100 tern.......call me old fashioned, as i've seen the full cycle that leaves only the profitable standing....reality of business different then perception of stock...

it is more momentum then anything else, in a normal market the prices of tern like companies wouldn't jump with the release of a newsletter........fundamentals have been there for anyone to discover....so you can see the power of a service as gilder....a bit of a self fulfilling prophecy?

if you can make money, nothing wrong with it...i prefer lower risk and a wider door to exit should a fire break out......

how many qcom call buyers thought 1000 was a piece of cake by year end 1999????
