What does a $100 savings bond cost? Does the waitperson have to declare the whole $100 as income or only the cost? Must she declare it for 2000 or only when she cashes it in?

Probable cost the poor woman $200 to hire a tax consultant to figure the mess out.

She obviously gave the "$100" bond because she could get away with paying only 70 bucks for it and still be able to say she tipped her a hundred bucks. Spin.

She should have given her a tip on cattle futures instead.

>>"Boy, that IS cheap!"

Remember, Hillary deducted 75 cents for each pair of Slick's used underwear that she "gave" to charity.

I read in a recent article that Hillary also accepts gifts, saying they are personal to her and not subject to gift rules. I seem to remember that Nancy Reagan couldn't get away with that and had to pay taxes on the clothes designers lent her.
