Retail investors don't matter - sad but true - and PL has outlived his usefulness as an investment guru.

Selloff is not bad for a post-earnings knee-jerk, especially on a snowy Friday afternoon before a long weekend.

PS: I wouldn't profit from the market quite as much if there weren't so many dumb traders. I pray to G everyday that they (not their actions) prevail. :-)

Can one of the financial number crunchers please do a rough assessment of how much 20% of GC will fetch. Using Exodus as a model should be a fair method.

Global Crossing plans to launch an initial public offering for less than 20 percent of GlobalCenter, Cohrs said.

Within the next two weeks, the company expects to name the banks which will manage the offering, which should occur around mid-year, Cohrs said. Global Crossing also aims have an IPO of its Asia Global Crossing business later this year.

Meanwhile, Global Crossing and Hutchinson Whampoa Ltd. said in November they may consider listing their 50-50 joint venture Hutchinson Global Crossing after about 18 months of operation.

The company also is exploring some financing options for its local telephone operations. Although the company is focusing more on commercial and wholesale markets, it does not plan to sell the local telephone business at the moment due, in part, to tax issues. The local business also provides benefits such as billing and operational expertise.

mthomas777. It may please you to know that in todays trading the upticks on large block orders was (145) while the down tick was only (113). Not too bad on a day that the stock drops 8 points. Oh yeah, even the small block trades were only on the negative side by a small margin.
