WOW, haven't heard or even thought about them for years.

Republic Goldfields Inc. (the "Corporation") was incorporated under the laws of the Province of Ontario on February 4, 1975 under the name Malartic Hygrade Gold Mines (Canada) Ltd. By Articles of Amendment effective July 7, 1991 the Corporation changed its name to Republic Goldfields Inc.

Between May 22, 1984 and November 21, 1995 the Corporation's common shares were listed for trading on the American Stock Exchange.

Due to the continued low gold price and uncertain outlook for gold prices the remaining gold exploration properties in the United States and Mexico were relinguished during 1998. The Congress property in Arizona was sold for U.S.$250,000 in early 1998. Interests are retained in the Ellison, Orion and other properties in Quebec but no exploration programs are planned for these properties. Republic retains a royalty of C$1.00 per ton on the first one million tons of ore extracted from the Dubuisson West property in Quebec.

Republic is evaluating the possibility of becoming involved in the processing and/or production of industrial minerals.
