Interesting...the interview audio is now 3 minutes shorter on the Bloomberg system. And Gates' comments on opening the source code aren't there any more.

There is a statement in the print form the editor-in-chief of Bloomberg News that says, "We stand by our story."

Maybe they didn't get permission from Gates to air the interview?

Gerald, >Well, MSFT may deny it, but Gates still said it (Bloomberg has the actual interview on its system), and he's still a
pretty prominent figure at the company.

The story that I read has Bloomberg saying that they don't have a recording of it because it occurred after the
interview. FWIU, during the interview he said gave a hem-haw "No." Therefore it's a he said she said pissing contest
between the world's largest company & richest man vs those who buy ink by the barrel. Neither's ego will permit them
to back down.

I saw the Bloomberg guy on their early stock market show today. I could be wrong, but I don't think he'd know source code from Morse code. In fact, that is my opinion, FWIW, about all of the Bloomberg types. Why do I glance at it? It has Nasdaq and Dow futures in the a.m., as well as S&P. All these guys do is read off a list of prepared questions, prep'd by someone else. If anything controversial occurs, it's a circus.
