If you follow Cheryl's logic (am I saying this? yes... let's follow Cheryl's logic here for a moment) MSFT does not really plan on an enterprise play, they will huff and puff but the real money for them is in volume desktop and server sales which can be sold without much need for service, support or design assistance. From that perspective it makes a whole lot more sense to get close to DELL, who is still the fastest growing and most aggressive volume supplier, than to CPQ, who now makes most of their money from non-MSFT products.
