Thanks for the kind words.
I did sell Gemstar puts though: the gem did not go down much but I still think the puts were fine value. I suppose I could have sold puts on Cree instead of buying the stock: didn't even think of it but it would have been more clever I think.
I wonder if this is the beginning of a major correction?
It's funny though: I have a 403B that is only allowed to be in mutual funds and (being aggressive in investing) I have it mostly in the Select Electronics and Developing Communications. It's up 90% since Jan 1 of 1999, pretty darn good for a mutual fund account. So I liquidated some of it to put some into cash a week ago, as I was "expecting" a correction. The remaining shares went up some more!!!!! (Today they went down). So who knows?
Anyway the cash will sit there for a while as someday we will have a real correction and if I can figure out where the "knife has stopped falling" I'll buy those shares of those two funds back.
