The SEC's Mr. Fussfield played the race card...
but he seems to think the year is 1900, instead of 2000--Y2K problem I suppose. Nearing the end of his closing argument, apparently desperate because the judge had just caught him in a couple of lies, he contemptuously asked whether an American company should rely on a BOLIVIAN geologist, a BOLIVIAN geologist. Gee, Mr. Fussfield, why shouldn't we rely on a BOLIVIAN geologist, especially the Harvard educated Mr. Paravicini. What's wrong with a BOLIVIAN geologist. You just said that Mr. Paravicini was clearly well-credentialed, so your point then is that he should not be relied upon because he is BOLIVIAN. Fussfield should check with Johnny Cochran for the proper application of the race card.

Some of us have always suspected that the only reason the SEC has refused to accept Guido's report was because he was from Bolivia. This will become more clear once the transcript of Fussfield's closing argument becomes available. The Washington law firm of Williams and Connely has been contacted regarding this situation. Until now, suing the SEC was thought to be near hopeless. It just got easier.
