It's a little difficult to say. I don't have the exact numbers, but I think those 385 companies below the 200 DMA only make up perhaps 20% of the SPX. As long as the likes of GE, MSFT, CSCO, INTC, etc. don't crater, I suppose the SPX should be alright. Do you recall a time in history where all the wealth was thrown into just a few leaders? I don't have any data about the late 20's, so I don't really know if that era is a valid comparison.

At any rate I don't want to see a collapse in the equity markets. I want things to stay exactly as they are now.
