Jeff,

Regarding your filter. I believe it is out there already. Usually if you get a old ADSL modem, the installer must install a filter(splitter) to make your phone/data works properly. The newer standard G.Lite would not require the filter to work but gives up a lot of speed, It is running at 1.5Mbit max vs 8Mbit of the tradional ADSL. Even a newer standard Full G.Lite would allow you to go 8Mbit without filter. All above depends on your ISP. Back to your question, I think It would be a "fun" weekend project to design the filter but as I said I think it is out there and I do not know who would sells them now besides your ISP. SI's WSTL thread have a lot of knowledgable people in this arena. I am a regular there. I'll see if I could find more info's.

BTW welcome back. You will not be disappointed!

Regards, mp.
