each datapoint on the top chart is the number of posts per day.

it took me 10 minutes to setup, but it took much longer for it to run and sift thru the thread headers.

i can email you the data in just about any text-based format you want (e.g., comma-delimited, tab-delimited, etc.). just tell me how you want it, I can deliver it to you each day, automatically. or batch it up once a week w/ daily data, or whatever. it is interesting, but I don't have an automatic way of generating charts. and its chart probably isn't that interesting to look at daily anyway :-)

actually, you're right, it would look better w/ weekly data. unfortunately it's easiest to gather daily data, but then one is left w/ data on non-trading days that should really be attributed to the closest trading day. that would make any correlation much cleaner.

oh well, quick-and-dirty, just for fun, not worth the rigor :-)
