Mile High, I got set back about 5 percent today. But considering how overweighted I've been in Loral and Globalstar, I feel lucky to be down only about 8 percent year to date (still beating the S&P 500, I think). There's something to be said for some diversification. Something's up with Loral this evening. There's late news that the Air Force has snatched away a 1.3 billion dollar contract from Boeing for construction of 33 satellites and is putting 27 of those satellites up for bids to LMT and Loral. Boeing has said they'll bid, too, but it looks like Loral should get at least some of the 27 sats up for grabs. More revenue for Loral is good for Globalstar, I'm guessing. This also may shed some light on LMT's filing to convert its $46 million of Loral preferred to common. I'll be very curious to see what Tuesday brings. It's hard to see Loral doing anything but moving up substantially, but I've been wrong about that stock plenty of times before. We'll see on Tuesday.
