StephenK: I just schlepped through the snow to pick up a bunch of newspapers. Checked the Business Sections to find out why the Dow and NASDAQ took a tumble yesterday. They all said the same; "Stock markets plummet in wake of Greenspan remarks on rates" and the stories led with the comment that Mr. Greenspan will increase interest rates. Wow! Now there's news. Boy, was I glad I braved all the snow, sleet and schmutz.

Not only is it imperative to hit the CNBC "mute" button, it's also critical to avoid the business sections. Don't read 'em. Ok, occasionally it's alright if you want to check the "news". But commentary or opinion...fuhgetaboutit.

These guys have to explain, after the fact, what happened. This time they picked on poor Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan. Whenever something goes wrong they'll seek, and find, a scapegoat...a reason.

Market Gems, a lotta 'gemmers and a couple of other sites are far, far better than these Johnny-Come-Oh-So-Lately's. (Lee)
