Though I concur that MSFT may be a good investment, I don't quite agree with your reasons based on fund inflows and buybacks. The current market of the US Stock market is $17 trillion. The 3% correction we had yesterday works out to $510 billion loss in market cap. So what can $7.8 billion in weekly inflows do for you? In fact, if you were to annualize the weekly inflows, they would work out to be $405.6 billion. In the face of the big moves that we are seeing virtually everyday, the effect of inflows and baby boomers and buybacks are puny. In the short term, the factors that you cite are quite ineffectual. This is just my opinion and I welcome contrary opinions.

I do agree that MSFT is diverging strongly from other tech stocks and that may present some decent opportunities to make money.
