Every phone made by QCOM is WAP enabled. WAP is a microbrowser developed by
PHCM. I don't know why WAP standards are the discussion of debate on NOK threads.

Can you confirm that every QCOM 'phone has a WAP client as part of the software stack? Last time I looked, they weren't.

PHCM may have developed a microbrowser, one of many components in a WAP system. WAP is an open standard, and WAP sites are appearing in Europe (the alleged wireless backwater). WAP should be debated on all wirless threads.

Keith,

<< Every phone made by QCOM is WAP enabled >>

Are the Qualcomm Q phone, QCP-820, QCP-1920, and QCP-2700 WAP enabled?

<< WAP is a microbrowser developed by PHCM >>

WAP is NOT a microbrowser developed by PHCM.

<< I don't know why WAP standards are the discussion of debate on NOK threads >>

Nokia, like Unwired Planet (now phone.com) was a founding member of WAP Forum. Nokia has its own WAP microbrowser. It develops, and markets its own WAP server which is (more than) competitive with phone.com's. Nokia is contributing to the development of SIM toolkit standards (which complement WAP) and the same for WIM standards ((which also complement WAP).

Discussions of WAP standards are very appropriate on this thread and much more appropriate than discussions of Qualcomm here.
