Yes, I'm quite familiar with NUMA-Q and Sequent. I used to sell to their customers. Awesome machines, indeed. I'm closely watching to see what IBM brings to the party.

Sequent/NUMA-Q sells a LOT of EMC storage to their customers (and STK tape libraries, too.) They do a ton of application testing in their labs before releasing compatibility guides. I wonder how their relationship with EMC will change, given the big push that IBM is putting on for Shark. FWIW, I can't imagine their sales guys pushing Shark too hard, so as not to alienate their customers.

Any guesses on what Monterey Unix will look like? Do we need another Unix?
