I have purchased a great deal from the like of CMPExpress, CDW, and Buy. All of these companies use Ingram and Techdata. I also have that staggered shipment aggravation, especially with CDW. I have had several ideas in this area which would seem to make sense but never really get implemented. The personalization of delivery is going to be the only thing that brings E-Commerce to the end-user with any expediency. B2B is much different because companies are used to dealing with the procurement and receipt aspects and have staffs to handle just that problem. I think the type of customized purchasing portal that you are talking about would be a fantastic long term opportunity. Airborne or FedEx seem to be nimble folks in that area. Some type of service by which they contact you to deliver the goods would be the next step. We can call it ICS (Ingram Concierge Services). We AIM to please At Ingram Micro.

PS. You could do a whole line of AIM services. In fact you can do everything At Ingram Micro. ANyway, it is all wishful thinking.

PSS. I betcha Ingram has some equity in Buy.com as well. They ticked off a lot of the channel with the Buy.com relationship. I hope it was worth it.
