A key ingredient to Dubya's success was his ability to keep his parents, his father especially, out of the state and the media.

Their spontaneous NH visit was quite damaging to their son and they regret it.

Thankfully, NH is no longer known for picking winners. So maybe they did him a favor in the long run.
