Torben: The bull market in internet stocks that seem so incredibly and obviously overvalued has come -- to a large extent -- BECAUSE of shortsellers. They prevent huge drops from killing the stocks by covering large short positions and they cover at whatever cost whenever they smell a rally (causing some obscene runs). That said, they can indeed keep pressure on stocks and scare many longs into selling. All it takes is some overhanging pressure to discourage weak hands into turning elsewhere. They can generate an avalanche of FUD to buttress the pressure. And, they can "box" their positions during runs and dump shares to accentuate the selloffs. We know all this. Problem for us is they still currently "own" Glia. But they are quickly losing their authority in the sector in general. As such, Glia's day will come soon imo.
