<<Ish, if I want to avoid insulin, no glucose at all. Fructose, yes, but how much fruit can a guy eat?>>

I was diagnosed as having diabetes several years ago. Took the pills for a while but started to feel really tired. Tossed the pills in the trash. I went and had my blood checked every three months for quite a while and it was always in the low-normal range and he doctor would compliment me for remembering to take my medicine. Finally I told him I wasn't taking it or watching my diet and still drank a quart of Seagram's 7 and 4 cans of Coke a night.

This was all due to one set of tests. They also had my chloresterol listed at over 400 overall and around 10 on the good kind. Odd but 3 months later with no changes or pills the overall was 195 with the good kind 37. I have a feeling that my tests got switched with some one who really needed medication. Still I'm now listed as diabetic which could hurt if I ever needed to buy health insurance and when I get my yearly eye exam it's the diabetic version. I get the speech about needing laser eye surgery but the exam always shows no damage and last time I was told my eyes haven't aged and are like what a person 15 years younger would have.

Last time I bought health insurance they wouldn't cover my back because I go to a chiropractor twice a year to loosen up.
