OT:
But value investing will come back. Soon!

Value investing has never left, or at least it should not be discounted by any true investor. Only the talking heads and the press have been putting down value investments, especially since they can and have been riding mo-mo stocks high and quick. Waiting for value to show up in a stock price is not chic and doesn't 'sell' as easily in today's world.

If your a trader, it's one thing to ride along with the mo-mo gang but I think the market will almost always end up with a proverbial 'tortoise and the hare' situation over the long run. Like beauty, value is in the eye of the beholder. Similarly, too many 'value' investors discount the value associated with much of the new technology available today. Stock selection has been, and will continue to be, the key to optimizing profits whatever the sector label. Tulips will come and go but trees, while they start from small seedlings, will last for years if not centuries.

JMO,
Michael

Claude, <<value investing will come back>> I have been thinking about buying some CDE. Since they do both silver, gold, and some dog metals, I wonder if CDE spreads the risk depending on the current metal of market interest? What do you think about CDE? Is there value there for the conservative portfolio?
