I would absolutely agree with your comment on the bus conflict, but all other saves from all other applications have no problem when writing to the "A" drive.

I failed to mention another symptom for Julius though. Whenever I turn the machine off (Only after having used TC2000); I will receive an error on a program that is not properly responding during the shutdown process. The program listed is RTFIXMON; yet if I wait for a few minutes (in lieu of forcing it to stop), Windows 98 will shut down properly and I will never again have that message until the next time I use TC2000 again.

The Zip drive of which you speak would again be a valid work-around as stated by Nicole and Dave R. of Worden Brothers. It appears my best bet is to cease trying to make backups to the "C" drive or the "A" drive and purchase another HD or a zip drive.

Partitioning is out of the question at the present time and until I get another HD drive.

Thanks again Jim,
Michael Kelly
