I just looked at today's America Online Poll. It has Gore leading Bush by 6 points. Other polls are similar. McCain would win all Republicans, and many independents and conservative Democrats. Bush would only win Republicans strongly, with a poor showing among these other important groups. I think that's pretty evident.

Looks to me like they are both beating Gore. And why not? Gore is a no-where man, right?

The worst thing the Republican Nom could do is to underestimate Gore.
Can Bush beat Gore? I don't know yet, but I am leaning towards no.

If Carolina had gone with McCain they could have cast the die. Now if Michigan picks Bush they will have made the choice. It will be over for McCain if he can't take Michigan. Without the momo from Carolina its going to be very tough for McCain. Gov Engler has the machine working, and has hopes for the number two spot I'm sure.
