IMO, there is nothing wrong with enjoying 'some of the finer things' in life. Yet, it's important to keep things in perspective. My father is one of my role models. He has had a very successful career and raised us to believe that we need to be a good steward of the resources we have been given. When we are fortunate to have a lot of time, talents and / or money we have a responsibility to use them wisely and give something back to this world.
