Dennis,

Again, just a theory, but apparently CORL's Office suite, from what I hear, is a solid offering. The desktop is still an important piece of real estate in any enterprise infrastructure play (i.e. the onramp). Dale may have come to the conclusion that a land grab strategy was the quickest way to become a Linux leader. I would assume that the Linux enterprise is exactly the prize that Dale is targeting. After all, why not? The combined company could continue to erode any competitive advantage(perception mostly) RHAT may have in this space while RHAT would have a much more difficult time replicating the CORL/Inprise offerings. Fuller, IMHO, is a smart street savvy executive that has a clear vision and the ability to execute. I am having a hard time buying into the proposition that he suddenly turned stupid<g> If you consider the Linux service and support revenue play, most of this annuity will come from enterprise customers. It is clearly in their best interest to move aggressively into this space. Fear is driving most of the negativity but patience could prove to be profitable. My money is on the table.
