Noticed that NYSE new lows dropped significantly on Friday versus Thursday.
Thought it might have been closed-end funds, but my database which excludes
exchange-traded funds for breadth data shows similar decrease in lows.
Telecoms actually continued to get stronger on Friday. In the bottomfish
area, there were small increases for many of the stocks in the financial
sector, including mortgage and consumer lending, as well as some other
sectors that reduced the new 52-week lows list.
