Wanted to draw your attention to the article in the February 7 New Yorker about the life and thought of Hayek. I called up a friend who helps edit Hayek for the U. of Chicago Press, and he says it's accurate except (get this) the application of Hayek's thought right at the end that implies a disastrous collapse of the current stock bubble. My view, of course, is that my friend is just swept along in the rapture of the heights where the market, like Shelley's skylark, "Soaring ever singest, and singing ever soarest."

Hayek predicted (at least by implication) the collapse of the Soviet Union. He could be right again.
