Well, its all crazy to me. Since I just found out about the Zone and Ebay share deal, I am opening more accounts. Where does it all end? of course, you must fund each account to cover a $30. IPO, if you want to play 95% of the IPOs out there.

A crackdown should come, etrade labors under the perception that random is fair whereas in fact it's the antithesis of fairness. How on earth can they justify giving ipos to dormant, non trading multiple accounts when rapid trading (and heavy commissions) not only go unrewarded but often receive fewer allos....due the fairness of random distribution? The system is inherently flawed.

Preference for platinum indeed. Big deal.

I split my trades between etrade and mytrac. Even so, I will push through an absolute minimum of 600 trades through etrade in the first quarter alone. You'd think they'd take note of the commissions involved.

This ruse of equanimity sucks, 2 ipos since November won't cut it. If they don't start to reward heavy traders they will lose us and I don't mean a reward of merely a platinum account. I need 2 brokers (for down system days) but without frequent ipo allocations, etrade needn't be one of them.

By the way, I've been fortunate with etrade and have not experienced too much of the agony with their service that I so often see on the threads. They seem to have improved a great deal.

When I do have difficulties I just concentrate on mytrac, although they are not without their problems as well.
