overvaluation: a wordy response

jubak is a respected journalist and, as you know, journalists feed the frenzy.

most of the investors that i see on the biotech threads have little to no knowledge about the company, product pipeline, or management--all crucial issues.

the frenzy in bios is being fuled by the media that continues to look for the next big story. the only big stories right now are the blazing biotechs and a handful of other tech names (wireless, for example). momentum players are piling on without even knowing the basics of the company in question.

this is a momentum market and money will follow the calls of pundits like jubak, cnbc, cnnm, etc.they are all saying "buy bios now."

so the big momo guys will keep getting money until the next darling comes along (or greenspan rains on their parade). i sure don't see the oil stocks being eyed by the well-heeled fund managers looking to get another ferrari. we are at the sweet spot--for a while.
