I am slap worn out! Been cooking Sunday dinner for ya'll porches.

Ya'll com'mon now it's ready. Somebody ring the bell. Who' s that driving up. Grab a couple more chairs, here comes the preacher.

Look at this table:

Vintagre tablecloth and cloth napkins (from Grandmother's trousseau)
Set with "Danask Rose" sterling silver flatware by Oneida (Mama's)
Ice tea spoons
Toothpicks
Sorghum (made by Jaycees)
Cornbread
Buttermilk biscuits
Southern Fried Chicken
Pecan Pie (pecans came from aunt Hallie's Orchards)
Sweet potato pie
Ice tea
Green beans, butterbeans, turnip green, and field peas (all homegrown and slow-cooked with salt meat)
Butter
Peanut butter and jelly sandwich (for all the kids)
Peper sauce (made by the pastor's wife)
Fried Okra (pod of the Gods)
Fresh sliced tomatoes on old pressed glass saucer ("free with box top of Quaker Oats")
White rice
Pan gravy (made from fried chicken drippings)

Pastor you want to ask the blessings?

Ya'll help yourself now!

Anyone want a jigger of "rot gut" with your coffee?

Look at everyone's stomach pooching out.

What a beautiful day this has been I was fixing dinner while Rev. Alias was explaining the history of the southern women. We in the South the are so blessed. Just like we use to say "Southern by the Grace of God!"

Thank you Rev. Alias

This is about a historical rotation out of smoke stacks. It is and has been gradual and orderly. But it is not seasonal or temporary. This is the real deal and what year 2000 on Wall Street will be remember.
