Sorry Richard .. I did not read with care. Several reasons for that. Among others I can find lots of things to be afraid of any time that I wish. We are also overdue for one of those astroids to hit the earth. The scale of event that you are pointing to there, I still feel, would render all investments worthless, on a global basis. In other words .. you would probably be able to exchange canned goods for gold then .. but would you want to give up your food?
