It's funny they send you a separate copy of every trade you do .... my mail pile is huge ... but they don't send you a yearly summary.

Statements & Bookkeeping:
I presently keep a 3 column ledger book. The columns are labeled Buy, Sell and Net. When I buy a stock the total price is put in the buy column and when I sell...under the sell column and lastly under the net column the difference of the sell - the buy = net, with a + or a - sign in front of the total on the net. This way I know exactly where I'm at with every trade. This system works for me.
Interested to know how other's do it.
