>Whatever happened to the $1000 price target?
Is that $1000 pre or post split? I don't remember! Seriously, so many of these companies have split their stocks so many times... I can't keep up. I think Amzn did 6 2 for 1's!!!

Who's portfolio would you rather? George's, mine or yours?
>WHAT GEORGE SOROS BOUGHT AND SOLD LAST Q

Do you want to know how the BIG BOYS made money last year?

George Soros essentially turned over his entire portfolio during the
quarter ended Dec. 31, according to a 13F filing made Monday with the
Securities and Exchange Commission by Soros Fund Management LLC.

Out of the 243 investments held on Sept. 30, Soros sold 107 during the
fourth quarter and entered into 175 new ones. The portfolio increased to
$8.6 billion from $4.4 billion during the quarter.

Most of the new positions taken during the quarter were in the technology
and telecom sectors. Soros took new stakes in software company Clarify
Inc. (CLFY - 900,000 shares purchased); telecommunications companies
Nextel Communications Inc. (NXTL - 1.8M) and Nokia Corp. (NOK - 1.1M);
software company Oracle Corp. (ORCL - 4.2M); Internet security company
Verisign Inc. (VRSN - 900,000); Telecommunicacoes Brasilerias SA (TBH -
600,000 ADRs) and Telefonos De Mexico SA (TMX - 500,000 ADRs).

But Soros didn't completely abandon the more "traditional" companies
during the quarter. He also opened new positions in Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
(WMT - 800,000), airline UAL Corp. (UAL - 800,000) and energy company
Enron Corp. (ENE -700,000).

Among the existing holdings, Soros added significantly to CBS Corp. (CBS
-1.1M), Cendant Corp. (CD - 1.6M), EMC Corp. (EMC - 900,000), Genentech
Inc. (DNA - 1M), Intel Corp. (INTC - 500,000), Park Place Entertainment
Corp. (PPE - 1.3M), Qualcomm Inc. (QCOM - 400,000), U.S. West Inc. (USW -
1M) and Vodafone Airtouch PLC (VOD - 900,000).
