John,

I think the new phosphate technology, which I understand can currently be produced at Henderson, is one of two 'competing' technologies which will become Gen4. Lev indicated in his talk at the SM that the company had not 'selected' a Gen4/5 technology yet. I think the phosphate technology and a second technology which involves lithiated managanese are under consideration.

What was illuminating at the SM to me was the slide showing the 'ellipse of performance' of various technologies, and indicated a prismatic lipolymer ellipse centered around 200-210 wt hr/kg, with a correspondingly high wt hr/ltr calculation (couldn't write that particular coordinate down).

But it led me to believe that the company does indeed believe that it will have future generations available which will eclipse not only other competitive li-ion technologies, but also their own Gen 1 and 2 technologies.

Just a WAG of course...
