If (when?) Lightchip announces a prominent customer for their next generation product, the current price means no risk to your investment. But I doubt you would then get any shares for such a low price. They are currently under-followed and under-owned by Wallstreet firms. These guys may find a way to drop Lightpath share prices so they can get a cheap entry point. But currently every new coverage starts a new rally. It looks like Fridays pop is solely ignited by the individual investor article. During these days other boards(e.g. yahoo!) get swamped by idiots posting bullshit. You can look for quality postings of the quiet times.

The stock retreats 20-30% after such runs. So it's up to you to chase rallies or be patient. A full retreat of the Nasdaq could also harm Lightpath. I discovered this Stock after Lucents quarterly report which focused all my research then to optical networks. It took me finally to Lightpath. I didn't hesitate to buy it under 20 as a longer term investment. Currently I am waiting for news that justify these or even higher prices.
