Well Jim, As you well know I just don't know. SOME people might think they were good for nothing slouches and OTHER people might think they were just misunderstood, as for me I love everyone, even YOU, in my completely relativistic utilitarian way. I am sure the Indians (or Native Americans) might even have a different take on the matter- but as I'm not walking in their moccasins, or whatever they were on their feet, I'm not sure what that take might be. But of course all takes have equal validity and non-validity as far as I'm concerned. So I guess the answer is all of the above. And should I win I'd like to send Michael C in my place. I think he needs exposure to other cultures, or something.
