Paul,

Why don't you CLAIM that AMD's air-cooled 1.1 GHz MHz Meter Demo was FLIM FLAM ?

The 1.1 GHz demo appears to be right in line with the clock speed progression we have seen with Athlon. There is nothing in the least suspicious about the demo.

What on earth are you talking about?

Pinhead Paul,

I wasn't - reread my message. I was saying a real achievement by Intel was made to appear flim-flam by poor marketing. AMD called 1.1 GHZ 1.1 GHZ. Intel engineers presented 1.5 GHZ as 1.5 GHZ, but then had to watch some marketing types blather about parts of the chip running twice as fast - confusing the issue and casting suspicion over the whole demo.

Disregards,

Alibi Dan
