I don't agree with the whole thing, but by and large that's one of the first decent explanations of MM activity I've seen. I trade through 2 different wholesale MMs, and I have to laugh at what most ignorant OTC-BB buyers think the MMs do. My favorite idiotic statement that I often see is "the MMs are loading up!!" Wholesale MMs almost never "load up" - they generally like to hold as little inventory as possible, because it depletes their capital. They much prefer to sell the stock short to a retail broker, then go high bid to cover.
