Nihil, do you believe in an after life existence? Do you feel you have a soul that lives on?

I understand the desire to speculate on Jesus as a central figure in our culture, and to use his prestige as a way to introduce certain ideas. But it is a delicate matter to discuss, and there is nothing much to hold onto except what makes sense to one given a priori assumptions. In such a context, and given the audience addressed on threads such as Ask God, it is inevitable that one give offense. Why would one treat matters sacred to believers thus, and then blame them for taking offense?

RE: I know the assertion that Jesus may have been homo- or bisexual annoys many ignorant Christians

Many people think that if someone does not have views completely identical to theirs, then that person must be "ignorant". I won't judge you, but your post does seem to speak for itself.
