I trade the OTCBB (primary). I also trade NASDAQ stocks through the ECN ISLAND... Those of you who have used ISLAND to trade NASDAQ stocks realize what a weapon this is... IF WE EVER have the same capability with the OTCBB stocks, it will completely level the playing field with the MMs. ISLAND is truly a beautiful thing... being able to trade in the spread, knowing where all the other ISLAND players are and knowing exactly how much stock they are looking to buy or sell... Pre/After hours trading with other traders... etc, etc... On the other hand, ECN capability will open up the OTCBB to the same manipulation seen on the NASDAQ in thinly traded stocks especially pre and post market. Regardless, traders need to be able to compete with these MMs on the OTCBB. It will be a completely different world once we have ECN capability on the OTCBB. Tom

NO MM'S WOULD BE BETTER.. That is an interesting scenario, one I believe could exist.. I'm convinced these damn MM's should not even exist because they hardly create a fair market for stocks.. Seems like their interest's are for themseleves and not investors.. It is truly frustrating how this all works, and as investors, we should have the choice to use them or not.. After all if it wasn't for us, they would be no OTCBB trades, if we all pulled out, the MM's would perish.. I'll have to follow this one, could get interesting.. And yes, most importantly, WE MUST ALL WATCH EACH OTHERS BACKS!
