Most Southern WASPs may think of the flag as representing regional pride (or at least that's what they say--I don't believe it), but non-WASP blacks, Jews and Catholics view that flag as an affront and a threat. Bob Jones University is anti-black, anti-Jew, and pope-hating, and very upfront about it too. It is a KKK university, cloaking itself in academic robes. How does a Presidential candidate appear at what is essentially a Klan rally, and then say, "I just visited there. I don't embrace their beliefs." ? Poor judgment and divisive. That Confederate Flag is about Regional "pride" the same way the Swastika is about "German pride." Who's kidding who?
