Another unique thing about Amzn.... It might be the only stock I follow where you never see any insider buying. Other than exercising options of course, and then they too are dumped.
As Amzn approaches 60 (or pre-splits 720) the longs should look for insider buying. It's a sign of confidence going forward. If they don't it might be a sign they know they're going backward (profit wise, not revenue wise).

Bezos is gearing up for the rest of the world which should increase his revenues substantially. Hence this acquisition.

Terms weren't disclosed. Basis Technology specializes in software services that help Internet companies expand. The Cambridge, Massachusetts-based company's flagship product, Rosette software, helps Web sites operate in multiple languages.

Seattle-based Amazon's investment in Basic Technology is part of a plan to enter more international markets, Amazon.com founder and Chief Executive Jeff Bezos said in a statement. The company didn't provide details.

Amazon.com shares fell 4 1/4 to 64 3/4. They have risen 45 percent in the past year. The announcement was made after the close of regular U.S. trading.
